Volunteer Spotlight: Dale Emery

A cheerful older man with short gray hair and glasses smiles at the camera. He is wearing a blue T-shirt underneath a sweater with a colorful, festive pattern. The background features a blurred, wooden structure.

Seed Saver’s Exchange recently featured Dale Emery in an article about their volunteers. Dale has been serving at Seed Savers since 2012 and at NEI RSVP since 2015.
According to the article, “… beginning in the fall and going into spring, Dale is a fixture at the Northeast Iowa Peace and Justice Center in downtown Decorah, where he spreads out and organizes seed packets on long tables, logging close to 185 hours on that activity in 2019 alone.”

Like so many of our volunteers, Dale serves in other locations as well. Thanks for all your hard work, Dale!

And thanks to SSE for recognizing the value of volunteers.
