Borrow From Another Library
Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state. If you can’t find an item in DPL’s collection, ask library staff to help you borrow it from another library.
For Libraries:
Requests from other libraries are received and processed each weekday morning. We will lend any item with the exception of those that are on reserve for our own patrons or those that have been published within the past year.
For Patrons:
Decorah Public Library patrons are able to borrow books, journal articles, books on tape or CD, music CDs, and DVDs from other libraries throughout the state. When a patron is looking for an item that we don’t own, library staff can generally request it from another library and will often receive it within a few days. The one exception is that most libraries will not lend items that have been published within the past year.
