A hand is dropping a black heart-shaped token into a small slot, symbolizing charitable giving. To the left, bold yellow text reads "QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM" against a blue background. The image visually represents the concept of charitable donations and financial contributions.

Qualified Charitable Distribution Program

Decorah Public Library is hosting a free presentation on Qualified Charitable Distributions by staff of Decorah Bank and Trust and Winneshiek Energy District at 11 AM on Friday, September 27. The presentation will take place in the library’s mezzanine.

Over two-thirds of households donate annually to a charitable organization. Did you know that people over the age of 70 can give in a tax-savvy way through a “qualified charitable distribution,” or QCD? Join Decorah Bank and Trust and Winneshiek Energy District to learn more about QCDs so you can invest more in the causes you love and make a bigger impact in your community. This event is put on in partnership with Decorah Public Library and the Winneshiek Energy District.
