Family Law

Decorah Public Library is hosting a free presentation on family law by staff of Iowa Legal Aid at 12 PM on Thursday, September 5. The presentation will take place in the library’s lower level meeting room.   

This educational program by Lea Kieffer, Iowa Legal Aid staff lawyer, will cover topics related to family law. Her presentation will include an overview of family law in Iowa and provide information on divorce, custody/visitation, child support, domestic violence, guardianship, and other family/juvenile issues.  

Iowa Legal Aid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing legal assistance and advice to low-income and vulnerable Iowans. In addition to direct legal aid, they also provide educational programs on a variety of legal topics.
