
Landlord-Tenant Law
Decorah Public Library is hosting a free presentation on landlord-tenant law by staff of Iowa Legal Aid at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, February 7. The presentation will take place in the library’s lower level meeting room.
This educational program by Todd Schmidt, Iowa Legal Aid staff lawyer, will cover topics related to landlord and tenant law. Both landlords and renters are welcome to attend to learn about a variety of legal issues related to housing. Attendees will get an overview of Iowa’s Landlord and Tenant laws, evictions, housing rights for tenants with disabilities, and disputes between landlords and tenants.
Iowa Legal Aid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing legal assistance and advice to low-income and vulnerable Iowans. In addition to direct legal aid, they also provide educational programs on a variety of legal topics.
