Biking Field Trips: Fall 2023 Dates

Wednesdays, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25
3:15-4:15

Are you interested in spending time outside, exploring Decorah, and getting some miles in on your bike? Join Upper Explorerland’s Walking School Bus and Decorah Public Library for Biking Field Trips. During this six-week session, we’ll bike to a different destination every Wednesday and do some guided exploration. This hands-on program is perfect for upper elementary and middle school students (4th-7th grade) who love to move, spend time outside, and who are interested in developing their skills as cyclists and/or outdoor adventurers. This event is now full and registration is closed. Thank you for supporting programming at Decorah Public Library.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩:
This program will be structured around biking field trips to specific destinations in the parks and natural spaces that surround downtown. We will meet at the middle school at 3:15. Participants will be expected to bring a water bottle, a bike and helmet (or request one to borrow one when they register), wear close toed shoes, and to be able to bike at least 4 miles at a leisurely pace. A snack will be provided. Please feel free to reach out to Sophie at snall@decorahlibrary.org for any additional questions about accessibility, accommodations or logistics
