Make Your Own Costumes!
10/7, 10/14 at 6 pm
with Decorah Public Library and ArtHaus
Want to DIY a Halloween costume but you’re not sure where to start? In this two-part workshop participants will have the opportunity to start to imagine, envision, design, and create a Halloween costume for themselves or someone in their household. Making your own costume can be low-effort, low-cost and fun for folks of every age.
In part one, we’ll brainstorm ideas. In part two, we’ll put our ideas into action, turning ArtHaus’s space into a costume-making workshop. Bring your ideas and any materials you’re inclined to share. Registration required.
About the workshop leader: Lindsey Row-Heyveld has always loved costumes which is probably why she studies and teaches Shakespeare at Luther College. She likes helping her kids make dress-up clothes, watching TV, and eating cheese, sometimes all at once. Her favorite childhood Halloween costume was Pippi Longstocking.
Participants are welcome to attend one or both of the sessions. Use the registration form below to register for individual dates or select “10/7 & 10/14: (both sessions) Make Your Own Costumes!” from the drop down to register for both sessions.
