DESCRIPTION:Decorah Public Library staff are hosting five book discussions this month. The groups are open to the public and newcomers are encouraged to attend. Anyone interested should call the library at 382-3717 to learn more or to reserve a book. Email ktorresdal@decorahlibrary.org to be added to any of the five groups’ email distribution lists. Funds for multiple copy sets were generously provided by Friends of Decorah Public Library.  \nThe Friday Book Group will meet on the second floor of the library on Friday September 18 at 2:00 p.m. to discuss Country People by Daniel Mason, a witty and imaginative novel about a California family spending a year in Vermont, where community life, family challenges, and local folklore begin to intertwine.\nFor more information, contact Tricia Gunderson ( mailto:tgunderson@decorahlibrary.org ) (Friday Book Group) or Kristin Torresdal ( mailto:ktorresdal@decorahlibrary.org ) (Happy Hour, History, and Speculative Fiction Book Groups) at 563-382-3717.  \nConstruction Notice: The parking lot east of the library will be temporarily closed beginning July 9th due to construction and is expected to remain closed until fall.
